Open science

Open Science aims to promote the accessibility, visibility and impact of research results. It is based on fostering and facilitating the free and freely accessible publication of research results, promoting the re-exploitation of research data and permanent access to scientific production.

The UdG, one side, has an active and committed position regarding open access, where the promotion of open science is present in actions of the University’s Strategic Plan and with the signing of declarations such as the one in Berlin (2010) and the Agreement Reforming Research Assessment (2022).

Moreover, the Governing Council of the UdG, in its ordinary session of 12 April 2021, approves the “Open access mandate of the University of Girona” which makes recommendations aimed at teaching and research staff in order to promote dissemination of scientific and academic production in open access.
